Superwoman in the Community

This is the last part in our four part series!

Before we go on to Superwoman in the Community, I want to make sure you are taking care of yourself!Girl Scouts in Key Largo - Friday Dinner

The number one way to do this is through what I call the Hour of Power.

It’s just 15 minutes in each of the following areas:

1. Listen to something Positive

a) Jim Rohn – Sensible and funny
b) Darren Hardy’s Monthly Success Magazine CD
c) Direct Selling Women’s Alliance (has a library – download something)

2. Read something positive

a) I like John Maxwell – his stuff is great – it helps people think develop Leadership Thinking
b) Success Magazine
c) I love the Bible – specifically the book of Proverbs – there are 31 chapters – one for each day of the month – I don’t know that I will ever live up to being a Proverbs 31 woman, but I am working on it

3. Journal (here are some prompts)journal image

a) What am I grateful for
b) Who Did I help
c) What did I learn
d) What could I do better
e) What am I looking forward to tomorrow

4. Plan your Tomorrow

I like setting my most Absolute Must Do Top 3 followed Next 3 (for a total of 6)
There are always some things we do every day, so be sure to allocate time in your schedule for these things – including quiet time, learning, and your Hour of Power.

Once you are FILLED UP, you can give back to your community, whether it is your Temple, Church, Senior Center, Youth Group, or some other clock

Many times when you are just starting out, you don’t have the money to give. I understand. Give something – event $5 or $20. Jim Rohn says give 10% to charity, the Bible and the Torah say Tithe. Give what you can. And THEN give your time.

Organizations have a desperate need of volunteers as well as money. Not only will they benefit, but so will you.

I have been so richly blessed by being a Girl Scout Leader for the past six years and a small groups leader at our church for middle school. It is one of the favorite things I do!

I believe in you – I believe you have Superpowers . . . take care of yourself, your family, your business and your community! You will create an amazing following!
